It really depends upon the area you live in. My area is insanely expensive so for a small wedding we’re ending up paying $8-10,000. In some other areas, you could have the same small wedding for half of that.

Go to http://www.costofwedding.com/

Enter your zipcode and it’ll tell you the average cost for your area.

This is mine: "On average, couples that live in 0**** (——-, MA ) spend between $33,198 and $55,330 for their wedding. This does not include cost for a honeymoon or engagement ring." Yikes!

I live in a small town, we are having a small intimate wedding. For everything and all the vendors, it’s running about $5,000-$6,000.

My fiance and I are pretty much keeping it under $2000. It’s a lot easier than you think. Just don’t fret about the big extravagant stuff. Stick with the bare essentials and you’ll be fine. All the extra stuff really is unnecessary.

Having the people you love near you while you celebrate the best day of your life is what really matters.

For everything I planned on about $5,000.

I could go lower ~ I can also go higher due to the fact all the family members are helping with payment (thank goodness for our family)

I live in a city in NE. I went to one last year that my friend spend $3300 then later in the year a different friend spent about $30,000 ( it was way outta my league but gorgeous of course)

It is what you make of it. Pinch pennies where you want so you can splurge on something you really want!

    Good Luck!

I live in a small town, a village actually, only 327 residents. What you spend depends on what you can afford. Figure out what you want to and can afford to pay and work from there. Just because you’re in a small town doesn’t make it cheaper, trust me! Our wedding is going to cost ~$30k when all is said and done.

    Good luck!

The cost of a wedding mostly depends on size and location.
This website will allow you to put your zip code in and find out what the average cost is in your area. Keep in mind that an average cost will consider some weddings that cost a lot less, as well as some weddings that cost a lot more. The website below will give you an idea anyway.

i am from a small town…our wedding (which is coming up really soon!) cost about $5000.00. I’m sure we could have done it even cheaper though! Our biggest expenses were the photographer, and the meal. (i love photos – so it was important to me to have a professional do them, and also a lot of our guests are travelling a long ways so we wanted to have a nice meal for them). some areas we saved were: keeping the flowers to a minumum and using the same flowers at the ceremony (bridesmaids bouquets, etc) at the reception, we aren’t having a flower girl or ring bearer, we rented a community hall for the reception (200 bucks), don’t have to pay for the use of the church, and we are having it in the afternoon – therefore no dance, no alcohol, no dj to pay for….
there are lots of ways to save money on a wedding…
